Early Years Foundation Stage

We aim to provide our children with a high quality learning experience through our creative curriculum. We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and provide support that enables them to fulfill their potential. Children develop their learning skills quickly in the early years and we continue to develop these skills through their own independence.

Children in the EYFS learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outdoors. We aim to develop and broaden the range of our children's learning experiences, creating confident, eager and enthusiastic learners who look forward to coming to school. We hope to play our part by treating every child as an individual and offering him/her a variety of experiences and activities which are designed to further their development and their creative learning.

The Areas of Learning

The prime areas begin to develop quickly in response to relationships and experiences, and run through and support learning in all other areas. The prime areas continue to be fundamental throughout the EYFS. The specific areas include essential skills and knowledge. They grow out of the prime areas and provide important contexts for learning.
